A-Z Familiemarked blev \u00e5bnet som et lavprisvarehus, og var (vist nok) det f\u00f8rste A-Z Marked i landet. Det var et lavprisvarehus der blev \u00e5bnet af De Samvirkende K\u00f8bmandsforeninger, dvs de frie K\u00f8bm\u00e6nd der l\u00e5 i direkte kamp om kunderne med de store lavprisvarehuse.
A-Z \u00e5bnede d. 1. maj 1973. Bygningen blev opf\u00f8rt i 1972-73. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Det var egentlig ikke meningen at der skulle \u00e5bne et lavprisvarehus i Ish\u00f8j – i forhold til K\u00f8ge Bugt planen skulle et s\u00e5dant center ligge i Hundige – og da Bilka \u00e5bnede i Hundige kom det til kamp om kunderne, is\u00e6r da OBS \u00e5bnede i H\u00f8je Taastrup (City 2) kort efter. I 1977 \u00e5bner Ish\u00f8j Bycenter og i 1982 overtages A-Z Familiemarked af Bilka. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Derfor er der i 2017 en Bilka b\u00e5de i Ish\u00f8j og i Hundige… (der er dog ikke l\u00e6ngere et varehus i City 2, det lukkede for ikke s\u00e5 mange \u00e5r siden) (kilde Else Trier- Den Gr\u00f8nne Port til K\u00f8benhavn side 241)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
